Rare Groove Ensemble

2009 and its time for wedding season! The weather is picking up and the sun is starting to shine.

Rare Groove Ensemble are back practicing together, we have quite a few dates already in the diary for summer weddings and they are keeping coming.

Our last gig was at Bradford Cathedral, was a great gig, buta little strange as our drummer john had to play inside a see through plastic box. We peformed a few new tunes that night including a cover of Virtual Insanity, Donna Summers Bad Girls, and an interesting version of Feel good inc by Gorillaz. We had the whole room up dancing, Thabo was on fire and had the crowd eating out the palm of his hands.

4 of Rare Groove Ensemble are currently in the studio today recording with Extra Curricular, makin some lovely sounding music.

Last weeks gig

Really enjoyed the wedding gig in oldham!  Thought we rocked the joint and our choice of repertoire for the evening proved very sucessful as lots of people where up dancing! TThe gig featured Thabo, in his Michael Jackson style trilby hat, me in my groovy skirt, mark and his double sax trick, aidan and his sexy nord, jack and his epiphany amp and noah and the shiny red drumkit.

Noah stood in on drums for the evening and i thought did a wonderful job!

But we love weddings are would like to play more! Always guarenteed a good, happy crowd!
